It is with great pleasure that the Colorado Prosthodontic Society Board of Directors and I welcome you to the 2011-2012 Seminar Series. Our continuing education program of six seminars includes renowned speakers who will cover a variety of topics.

This year’s program begins with Dr. Jeff Brucia who is the 2011 recipient of the Gordon J. Christensen Recognition Lecturer Award. Dr Gerhard Iglhaut from Bavaria will lecture on implants from placement to restoration in October. In November, Dr John Svirsky will educate and entertain us with “Oral Pathology for the Joy of It”.

2012 will start with Dr. Georgios Romanos talking about the exciting fi eld of lasers in restorative and implant dentistry. Dr. Harald Heymann will give us an update on esthetic and restorative dentistry in March. The series will conclude with Bethany Valachi P.T. covering ergonomics in dentistry and giving us tools to reduce the physical stresses and strains.

It is a tribute to the dental profession that continuing education is so highly regarded. Many of our presenters have had profound infl uences on my practice philosophy.
